Context

The project addresses three European priorities in the national context with a highlight on the innovative and transferable results and practices, as follows:

      1) Stimulating innovative teaching and learning practices by co-creating new learning outcomes for 10 study programmes based on the cooperation of academics and employers to better meet the learning needs and to reduce the skills mismatches with labour market demands. International topics on sustainable development and digitalisation of aviation will become part of the new curricula across the involved universities. The innovative practices applied in the project will be based on the IT tools developed in WP4 and will be characterised by interactivity, international cooperation between teachers and students. Blended teaching and cooperation between HEIs and stakeholders from Air transport will produce study cases, thesis topics and internships. Digital and green skills will be developed according to the general European strategies and documents for sustainable development and digitalisation and the European specific priorities for digitalisation and greenisation of air transport, Aviation 4.0.

     2) Promoting inter-connected HE systems by establishing structured cooperation between HEIs and companies to co-create content for improving study programmes and to build joint learning space by using virtual and blended methods, digital tools and online platforms; new digital applications will be developed to use modern didactical methods. An international teaching and learning environment will be developed based on these connections which allow teachers, students and employers to establish very highly applied topics, to work in international teams using as method project-based learning; the new system of micro-credentials for mutual recognition of qualifications and learning outcomes will be piloted among the participating HEIs.

     3) Supporting digital and green capabilities of the HE sector by addressing two priorities of Digital Education Action Plan 2021 -2027: making use of digital technology for teaching and learning and developing digital competences and skills demanded by the digitalisation of Air transport. New knowledge will be introduced in the revised and upgraded curricula.
New skills will be developed by using new IT tools created within the project and by exchanging good practices among partners. The curricula for 10 study programmes will be updated with new topics to build new green skills asked by the sustainable development of the transport sector. A conducive digital skills environment will be created by introducing digital
tools in the teaching process. Using a digital environment of teaching and learning means to develop digital skills for many generations of professionals in the long run. Modules on societal responsibility will be introduced in the revised curricula to enhance the civic awareness of learners
